Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hong Kong Guide mobile application (the “App”) provided by Zhujianger (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

The App is provided as a travel guide and informational tool for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt to access it through unauthorised means, or use it for any unlawful or harmful purpose.

2. Accounts

Signing in is optional. If you choose to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Content and Accuracy

The App provides curated information about restaurants, bars, dim sum, attractions, shopping, nightlife, transport, weather, currency, and other travel topics. This information is provided for general guidance only.

While we make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that it is complete, current, or error-free. Venues change their hours, menus, prices, and availability, and some may close. Transport schedules, weather data, typhoon signals, and currency rates are drawn from third-party sources and may change or be delayed.

You should always confirm important details, such as opening hours, prices, ticketing, transport timetables, and safety information, with the venue or an official source before relying on them. You use the information in the App at your own risk.

4. Third-Party Services and Content

The App relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase, Open-Meteo, the Hong Kong Observatory, and a currency rates provider, and may reference or link to third-party venues, websites, or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third party. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, text, graphics, logos, curated content, and software, is owned by Zhujianger or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content is accurate or reliable.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zhujianger and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including any reliance on information provided in the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Changes to the App and Terms

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, or any optional account, if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that may cause harm. You may stop using the App at any time and may delete it from your device.

10. Apple App Store Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Zhujianger, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Zhujianger operates, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws applicable to you provide otherwise.
